Even with the COVID-19 restrictions beginning to ease, the health and safety of our clients remains our top priority. Due to the nature of the industry, we service a high level of elderly and immune-compromised clients. These same clients welcome our technicians into their homes and businesses every day, so it is our number one priority to ensure their health and safety.
The team at Simplex have consulted with health professionals and are continuing to use extra precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our clients during these times.
What are we doing?
All of our technicians have been provided with a hygiene pack full of face masks, alcohol wipes and hand sanitisers to help reduce the spread of germs while on-site if required. In preparation for flu season, all staff members have also been supplied with the influenza vaccine. See more about our action plan in our latest media release.
What can you do?
We understand that commuting in elevators is an unavoidable part of most people’s lives, so a list of tips from health authorities have been included below to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus in lifts.
Avoid making contact with people. If there is room, try and spread yourselves around the lift car.
If the lift is overly crowded, wait for another lift or use the stairs. Health authorities have recommended people keep a 1.5 metre space between each other.
Use your elbow to cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.
Carry hand sanitiser with you and use it before and after travelling in the lift.
If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, try and avoid using elevators. Stay home and rest up.
