Simplex Farewells Supercentenarian, Mrs Elizabeth Jordan

It is with heavy hearts that we express our sincere condolences to the family of previous Simplex Client, Mrs Elizabeth Jordan, who sadly passed away on Sunday morning, March 6th.

Earlier in the year, Mrs Jordan celebrated her 110th birthday at the Brassall Aged Care Facility where she lived the final months of her life. In 1936, she and her husband Joseph, built their first home in Ipswich's Ebbw Vale where she lived independently until 2021.

Mrs Jordan lived a social life alongside her 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was a life member of Ipswich Blue Care Nursing Service and a member of the Methodist Church.

Peter, Mrs Jordan's son has described his mother as "fiercely independent" and continued to keep active throughout her life, even mowing her own lawn until she was 99 years old!

Mrs Jordan made an impact on everyone she met. Our Simplex Technicians always looked forward to her annual Stair Lift service, they have described her as having a “cheeky and fun nature.”
