On the 25th of November, the 2021 Queensland Sport Awards and Hall of Fame took place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. We are proud to announce that our very own, Pat Kerlin was awarded the 2021 Brisbane City Queensland Volunteer of the Year.

During the awards night, Pat was described as “a pillar of the track and road cycling community" and has been a long-time member of the Balmoral Cycling Club.

In the past 12 months, Pat has helped organise events including The Elite Track Nationals, The National Road Series, National of Masters, Tour De Brisbane, Brisbane Cycling Festival and The State Track and Racing Championships (just to name a few.) When he’s not working in a lift shaft or orgainsing cycling events, he is helping intellectually impaired adults compete in and train for cycling competitions around Queensland.

We are sincerely proud of Pat and the time he dedicates to helping the cycling community.
